Actress
in the 1940's and 1950's, her most acclaimed movie was "A Face
In The Crowd" (1957) with Andy Griffith, Patricia Neal, Walter
Matthau, and Lee Remick. In 1944 she appeared with Zachary Scott in
"Mask of Dimitrios."
TV brought her greater success with "The Faye Emerson Show" in 1950. She was well known for her exquisite fashions. Married at one time to Elliott Roosevelt, son of President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Bubbly, blonde singer-actress who went from big band songstress in the 1940s to movie stardom.
Her
first movie was "Romance On the High Seas" (1948) with Jack
Carson. My earliest memories are of her in "On Moonlight Bay"
with Gordon MacRae (1951), "By The Light Of The Silvery Moon"
(1952) again with Gordon MacRae and "Calamity Jane" (1953)
with heartthrob Howard Keel.
Most
fans remember her as the co-star who teamed with Rock Hudson in the
1959 film "Pillow Talk."
Over
the years she also had many hit records including "Secret Love,"
"It's Magic," "Teacher's Pet," "Whatever
Will Be, Will Be," "Love Me Or Leave Me" and "Lullabye
of Broadway."
