Talking 1972 Palitoy Alice in Wonderland Doll

I am now 43 and still have my talking Alice in Wonderland Doll.

I left home 'many' years ago but I left poor Alice behind, but mum lovingly looked after her and reminded me not so long ago that she still has her and that I should think about taking custody of her.

Sadly no longer in her original box and possibly shoes and waistband missing but still have the original discs and amazingly she still chats away.

Palitoy Alice In Wonderland boxed, complete working

My name is Sharon and I have a boxed 1972 Palitoy Alice In Wonderland and have had it stored very carefully for many years. The box is in good condition other than age related wear, Alice is totally complete and immaculate she has all her clothes and the three disc and she still plays them and works perfectly.
My intention is to put her on Ebay with a reserve and let her find her own value, unless anybody want to make me a good offer that reflects the rarity of a doll like this plus any postage involved..
I am more than willing to post pictures alongside a piece of paper with the date on and name of the person enquiring as proof, I will also video her working and send it to anybody interested.

I have been searching for years for a Pallitoy Alice in Womderland

This was my favourite toy as a child. I lost it because I was only 5 and my mother was being beaten to pulp by my father. One day she said would we like to go on a train journey.
She had no suitcases, so she stuffed a few things into black bags and fled witjh our lives.

Does anyone else have the Palitoy Alice doll with 8 records? Everywhere I look fewer are mentioned, so I am wondering why mine has more. My Alice still has all her original clothes, though the elastic has gone in her tights and petticoat. Sadly the box is long gone but she still talks!

I have been looking for a Palitot Alice in Wonderland Toy for years now. She was the one that had three records which you put in her back. It told the story of Alice of Wonderland and there were songs, for example the queen of hearts made some tarts....the naive of hearts stole those tarts and took them quite away. She was with me all the time. You may think we'll if she was your fav doll why don't you have her. It is because my mum was a victim of domestic violence and she was so badly injured, she just said would you like to go on a train tomorrow? We fled the next day to safety with just a few things stuffed into a black bag. That's why I don't have Alice or other things from my childhood. We got to a safe place and had escaped from danger. Of course that was the main thing but I would still like to have had my precious doll, Alice

Hi .Has anyone still got one of these dolls i would love one again for my grandaughter whens shes a little older as mine when 3 yrs old was almost as big as me.We emigrated to South Africa not a year later and i remember cryin most if the first week for her ss we had to give most if our toys away but bo one told me this until our packing boxes arrived.!

Hi.
I mentioned my Alice doll that I had along with discs, I sold her on Ebay the lady who bid for her paid and she was sent out to live a new life in the USA. One happy lady the USA and one doll rehomed rather than just left up in a loft which is good.

So it is worth keeping an eye out on EBay ad such like sites.

If you have a look on Ebay, you might find them. I listed Alice along with three discs and she sold for £31.00 she doesn't talk think as battery corrosion, but just for the discs really.

So worth a look.

If deal falls through (ie no payment) will relist but stick a note on here too.

Not sure how much she is worth really, so can't really put a price on her (the battery compartment is a little bit messed (looks like an old battery was left in at some point and had a little leak) if you look at the photo you can see.

Really have tried to be as honest as possible as not tried her out but was thinking that the discs would be really useful for someone if they are missing them for their doll.

Hopefully should be listing some more items (dolls included) when next sorted through them.

I have just listed my dear old Alice in Wonderland doll on Ebay today. (£14.99). Sad but rather than her sit in another loft for another 30 years or so, thought it better that someone else may get some enjoyment from her.

She does have three of the original discs that came with her but sadly not all her clothes.

Thinking that someone might have a perfect condition doll but missing the discs and this may solve a problem for them and for me.

I too have the same Alice doll and am 43.

My sister in England bought it for me as a birthday present when I was about 5 or 6, I think.

The disks have been missing for a number of years now as we moved a few times backwards and forwards from England to Aust. Everything else is in tact though.

It's a real shame as I now have a 15 month old granddaughter and would love to give it to her so she could have the same pleasure I did from her.

If you happen to know where I could get the disks I would be very grateful.

Palitoy Alice in Wonderland Doll

I retrieved my beloved Alice doll from my parents' house today and gave it to our 4 year old daughter, who's a great fan of the original Alice in Wonderland animation.

I vividly remember this doll being a special Christmas present from my grandparents and she was quite high-tech for her era! She's in pretty good condition, but I only have 2 of the discs - the red one & the black one, which have Christmas songs, nursery rhymes & general phrases.

Sadly I no longer have the disc where Alice recounts her story, but I recall quite distinctly how it goes, as I played it over & over again. I struggled for over 2 hours this evening desperately trying to get the disc player to work and finally succeeded!

The little drive belt which goes around the tiny turntable & around the spindle which drives it was missing, so I improvised with an elastic band and hey presto! Our daughter listened in awe and has fallen equally in love with my Alice doll.

The wonderful thing is that I was also 4 years old, the same age as our daughter, when I got the Alice doll. She was my all-time favorite toy. If anyone knows where I can get the missing disc, I'd love to know :o)
