The other day I bought a Princess Mary Hartline doll that I found on Ebay.com. I don’t usually buy dolls on Ebay but this one had special meaning for me.
When I was ten, I entered a writing contest that, if I won, would allow my sister Debbie, who was about 3-years-old to appear on Princess Mary’s T.V. show as a junior princess. I won.
So on the appointed day, my mom let my sister Pam and I skip school and take the train up to Chicago studio with her. Once there, Debbie was dressed up with a crown and was given presents.
My mother was given a huge box of Tangee cosmetics, and Pam and I got to ride in the Bosco train and make a commercial. It was a great day.
