My 83-year-old mother has a beautiful porcelain head, rolling eyes, open mouth showing teeth doll with marking on back of neck AS but cannot find this makers mark?

It belonged to her mother, who she inherited from her mother and would like to find out its origin and age, please. she has jointed limbs both arms and legs. approx 28 inches in size -
