I purchased a cloth doll at a flea market which I am sure is an antique doll. But, I am stumped as to how to identify it. This is the description:
Very old Black cloth doll, all hand sewn, full body. Only markings on the head are X's sewn in as eyes and a small single-line stitched smile.
Wears a blue gingham dress and flop hat with the brim pinned back on one side. The dress has a very old hand-made lace collar attached, and newer manufactured lace sewn around the hem. Doll is 11 inches from head to foot, but dress extends a total of 17 inches.
I would appreciate any help with this!
