Mama's Baby Doll - My Treasure!

Armand Marseille 351
Mom was born in 1918 and somehow kept this "My Dream Baby" 351 through many moves.
Before she died, she gave me the doll that is now about 95 years old. I had wanted this reminder of Mom for the longest time.
She wears the original underpants and dress that she came in years ago when Mom received her as a gift. She has the open mouth with two tiny teeth. She's only 8" tall and while she needs to be professionally cleaned, she's such a treasure to me.
I took her to an antique appraiser today at my library and he merely told me that she is an Armand Marseille and that she only has "sentimental" value. Why would that be? I wish it hadn't, but that kind of hurt.
I hadn't planned on selling her because I'd like to pass her on to my grand daughter someday.
Thanks for "listening" to me and the tiny story about my tiny treasure.
