Lucky Me

I was given a Bonnie Braids doll as a Xmas gift by my parents in the early 50's. I knew her origin from reading the comics in the newspaper.
Time went by, I lost track of her and grew up. Long story short, I found a Bonnie Braids doll at a local antique shop. It brought back memories of my childhood and I returned later to purchase said doll.
On the back of her head is stamped Ideal 1952 and Chicago Tribune. She has a vinyl head as described and hard jointed arms and legs, and open shut eyes.
She has a play dress with attached half slip and panties. I remember my first Bonnie as being the more soft, baby type but this one is a sweet remembrance.
