Help me identify childhood doll

I've had this doll as long as I can remember. Now I have a daughter and I've given it to her.

I have no idea where this doll cake from, and my mom doesn't remember either. I've tried googling every descriptive word I could think of but can't find this doll.

My best guess is that it is some store brand generic of either Lime Chiffon from strawberry shortcake or patty o'green from rainbow bright. It has a tag but all of the writing has been worn away.

I was born in 1983, so this is from around that time. Please help me figure out where it came from.
