Extremely antique doll

My mother had this doll that was passed on to her probably by another relative.
She is extremely old and deteriorating. I can't find a mark on her anywhere. She is 22 inches in length.
The head appears to be bisque or porcelain. Inset eyes of blue. One eye is broken. Lips are parted with tiny teeth inside. Hair is very very stiff.
Body made of some type of kid? Arms are sewn on and hands and lower arms seem to be bisque or porcelain as well. Legs are attached to by a placket with a button and knees are also connected with a button.
I'm stumped. And while she may not be worth anything because of her condition, I am curious and should I just trash her? Oh, that sounds so harsh.
Any help would be very appreciated
