Composition boy and girl dolls

Hi. I bought these dolls together at a thrift store recently.

I believe they are composition head and body. Jointed limbs. I removed the outfit from the boy doll and can’t find any marks. I believe the clothes are original to the dolls.

I am sure they were made by the same company. They almost look like they are singing. They measure 16 inches tall. Hopefully, someone can help me identify the maker and age of these dolls. Thank you.
